How does it work?
Frontline Plus is a monthly topical treatment for fleas and ticks on dogs. It contains two main ingredients – fipronil and (s)-methoprene. Both the ingredients protect dogs from harmful flea infestation.
Fipronil directly attacks adult fleas and kill them for the whole month. This key ingredient gets collected on the hair follicles and oils of the skin, and it is continuously released from the hair follicles onto the skin and coat.
The other active ingredient (S)-methoprene is an insect-growth regulator. It disturbs the life cycle of fleas and ticks, and prevents re-infestation. Acting as insect-growth regulator, it inhibits growth of flea eggs or flea larvae and stops developing them into adult fleas. Thus, kills all life stages of fleas. It further protects canines from future infestation.
Safe for all breeds of dogs, Frontline Plus is effective for lactating and pregnant bitches also.

HeartGard Plus for dogs is a vet-recommended heartworm preventive treatment that also controls and treats various other worm infections. It is effective against immature stages of heartworm that is transmitted through a mosquito. It also treats and controls three species of hookworms and two species of roundworms. This monthly treatment has antiparasitic and anthelmintic properties that work against mixed parasitic infections. It comes in a real beef flavor which makes it highly palatable in taste for the dogs. This monthly treatment is one of the most recommended heartworm preventative treatments and it is safe and suitable for dogs 6 weeks of age and older as well as breeding and pregnant dogs.
How does it work?
Heartgard Plus contains two active ingredients Ivermectin and Pyrantel. It is an effective heartworm treatment for dogs that prevents heartworm disease by eliminating heartworm larvae and kills parasites by causing spastic muscle paralysis. These active chemicals control the way nerve impulses flow through the neurological system of the worm. This causes the parasite to become paralyzed and eventually die.
It should be noted that Heartgard Plus is only effective as a preventative for heartworm infection. You must first diagnose your dog for heartworm infection before administering any heartworm prevention product. If your dog has already been infected with heartworm, you should consult your veterinarian.
