Change of mind returns will be subject to a 10% restocking fee, and the shipping portion of your order is non-refundable.

Damaged or Incorrect Goods

Any goods that are sent incorrectly or arrive damaged will be replaced at VetSupply's expense. We will uphold our warranty obligations as defined under Australian consumer law. Please contact us regarding any warranty claims, and we will arrange pickup and replacement of the product in accordance with the manufacturer's warranty conditions.

We cannot accept warranty returns for pet accessories that have been damaged by an animal unless a manufacturing fault can be identified with the product. Such claims will be forwarded to the product manufacturer for investigation before accepting a return or replacement.

Advantage for cats is a monthly flea treatment. Applied topically, the treatment shown to kill adult and larval fleas within 20 minutes of contact. The topical solution acts on reinfesting fleas, that will stop biting within just 3 - 5 minutes, and will be killed within 1 hour of jumping on your cat. It also helps control flea larvae in the treated pet's surrounding and may reduce the incidence of flea allergy dermatitis. Advantage works on contact so fleas don’t need to bite to be killed. The rapid acting, waterproof treatment may helps prevents flea infestations for one complete month.

Working Method

Advantage consists of Imidacloprid as the active ingredient. The ingredient is a topical insecticide that attacks central nervous system of parasites. It starts action within an hour of application. It blocks the neural pathway causing hyper excitation and paralysis in the recipient. The result is an eventual death. It works on adult fleas and larvae within 20 minutes, prevents flea re-infestation by breaking the flea lifecycle.

It kills fleas on contact, which means there's no need for them to bite. The action continues for one complete month and protects the pet against re-infestations.

How do cats get fleas?

Fleas can invite themselves into your home and on to your cat in various ways:

If you come into contact with fleas, these pesky parasites can hitch a ride on you or your clothing and enter your home.
Wandering animals shed eggs into the environment, they then hatch and complete their lifecycle by developing into adults and taking a blood meal from your cat.

What is the difference between Advantage and oral flea products?

If you see any fleas on your cat, you’re looking at only five per cent of the total number that might be in your home. For every flea you see, many more eggs, larvae and pupae are hidden in carpets, bedding and upholstery, and will soon hatch into new adult fleas. The best way to reduce the chances of having a flea infestation in your home is to use a flea treatment regularly.

Only one of my pets appears to have fleas. Should I only treat the infected pet?

Advantage for cats is available in two different colored packs. The packs are designed in accordance with the weight of the pet. Weigh your pet and choose the relevant pack.

For application, create a bare skin spot by parting the fur between the shoulder blades and base of the skull. Place the tip of the open pipette at this spot and squeeze out entire content.
