Sam, an ex-army veterinarian, has moulded his life to serve the four-legged citizens of the country. His love of animals is what made him a compassionate vet. When they first crossed paths, Caesar was injured and the pet-loving Sam was compelled to take Caesar under his wing. The evenings are getting colder, as if there’s some divine hurry to reach the winter. Orange-yellow leaves fallen from trees are getting crunched below Sam’s feet as he slowly strolls through the park that takes him home. Sam enjoys the scenic view before him; children and pets are running around and playing in the park while parents sit on the sidelines and watch over them. This made him feel warm even in this chilly air; wearing a denim jacket he exuded the aura of a man living a disciplined life.
Suddenly, he hears some rustling and a whimpering sound from somewhere near him. Sam stops and looks around to see where the sound came from and notices a pup curled under a tree on the side of the walkway. He looked like he deliberately wanted to seem small and hide away. Sam slowly approaches the whining pup, he could see that the puppy is injured and seemed to be in pain.
Sam felt bad and the pet lover in him could not ignore the pup.
He carefully removes the leaves fallen on him, being tender with his movements so that the pup is not startled. On noticing Sam, the pup tries to limp towards him but immediately stops and cries in pain. Sam makes soothing, shushing sounds as he starts to inspect the injuries, where he notices a worn-out collar on his neck that said ‘Caesar’.
“Caesar”, whispers Sam to himself; on hearing which pup whines, Sam instantly picks him up to assess the extent of his injuries and decides to take him to his clinic for a thorough check.
